For what ever reason a lot of people have never had to figure anything out on their own and some have.

This is an interesting comment. I wonder if those of us who have been self-employed/had our own business are in better shape to "figure things out on our own" than the person who was a lifetime employee (especially a government employee).

It would make sense.
