This isn't an anti-abortion argument though. For the so called "moderates" (or what the vast majority of liberals used to believe concerning limits of abortion), the first trimester at least is not taking a life distinct from the mother, per se, because of a lack of brain function. Not sure I agree with that, but that seems to be the criteria.
For the science argument I love to bring up the idea that if we found a zygote on Mars or especially a 2 week old fetus, every news outlet on Earth would immediately publish a βLife Found on Mars!β article.
