The "public good"—as defined by bureaucrats unelected—outweighs your desire to breathe fully oxygenated air, to not rebreathe your own CO2, to not have your children driven insane by muzzles and constant scolding for being selfish, to attend proms, weddings, funerals, etc.

The public good is defined as everyone enjoying their individual good.
