This dude is a special brand of idiot. NEVER do a poll to 'gauge interest' just release what you were thinking about, and if its any good (and it won't be in this loser's case) it'll be popular enough to spread at least a little, and then guage interest THEN, but not by asking: its by engagement.

Asking "would you be interested in" ANYTHING would almost always get a "no"
