Please have some kind of anti malware or antivirus up. I pulled up a post yesterday on my phone about a video of anne heche after her crash and it was a weird page where the videos wouldn't play. I turn on my phone today and it will no longer boot up. Not sure if intentional but now my phone is trashed.

Don't trash your phone because it doesn't boot, would be a waste.
Download a firmware, put it in download mode and flash it. Just Google "XDA" with your model number, and you will find all instructions.
The phone won't go past one of the booting screens. How would that work?
It will be in the instructions. There is a hardware button key combo for that. It's a pre boot thing like a BIOS on a computer.
ok i'll look
I will go on a limb and say clicking some link did not cause your phone to be bricked.
maybe, maybe not. just very coincidental they both happened yesterday.
LG Fortune 3. it was a very recent thread
Factory reset video, just over a minute. CAUTION - I don't know if this will wipe out anything, don't know if you normally save to the cloud or not. I've had to reboot Apple devices (phone, iPad) at times, don't back anything to the cloud and I didn't lose anything.

.
A SOFT Reset might be best to try first . . .
"How to Soft Reset LG Fortune 3
To perform Soft Reset operation smoothly, press and hold the power button, select the Restart or Power OFF option, wait for 20-30 seconds, and power the device back ON.
For Smartphones with removable batteries, Soft Reset can be performed by removing the battery and inserting it back again after a few seconds.
In the case of a non-removable battery, when the device freezes, you can try to use a combination of keys along with the power button to power OFF your device. For example, Volume up + Power, Volume down + Power, Volume up + Volume down + Power, etc. "
