Yeah no that is definitely not what the agents are for...
And you know this for a fact? I used to work for the IRS so I know what agents have typically done. I also know that the IRS has not functioned as it should for the past few years. I don’t think it is just Covid. I think it is getting wound down.
Neither of us know what they will be used for. But I have learned to think of possibilities that would have seemed totally improbable 5 years ago.
