What does one get from living in LA anyway? Why do people live there? Is it because of the "vibe"? Is it because of some hip notion that they can find anything they want, any hour of the day? Why would anyone WILLINGLY live in such a cramped, crowded place that has no real-world reason for being? What does LA actually produce that the rest of the country needs? Movies? Blech! Beach life? For a few, maybe. WHAT DOES LA ACTUALLY PRODUCE?
Firearms are only for criminals, regular citizens can't be trusted with such implements, doncha know? I just hope that if they come to my beloved east Tennessee, they don't bring the same values with them that destroyed LA.
Out of every major city I have been too LA is by far the worst.
I have a theory... people respond to the demon-energy of self-indulgence ( to whatever level they can afford) There is such a narcissistic energy out there and frankly it's weird and confusing to see restaurant employees that all look like they came straight to work from their audition to be on tv. L.A. is built on illusion and ego and when those parts of you take a horrible bruising it just becomes a population in denial. High levels of emo that feed addictions of many kinds. When I look back over a few incidences I had, and decipher them with knowledge I have now about trafficking, I say to myself " there, but for the grace of God" Close calls!
Yeah, I think you're right. It all comes down to values. Today, a more mature me, values solitude, quiet time, being around "my peeps" like the ones I see at gun shows, playing music with friends, and such. Whatever "values" they have in L.A. is completely alien to me. And I prefer it that way.
