Cover your neighbor's groceries now??? Oh HELL NO. I already paid for them once, not paying twice! What person doesn't have a jar of peanut butter or a can of soup to tide them over? "We're starving" my ass. Scour your cupboard, fool!
I mostly see folks in the sea food markets of Philly buying 20 lbs of seafood on the weekend using EBT cards. The markets had to close for the day.
Once I saw a lady who I overheard was buying flat cakes to resell out of her van next to a subway stop. She bought coffee and giant cakes, and the bakery said she was their best customer. The fraud is real kids.
This person has the certain something in common but makes a lot of sense:

Have mixed feelings about this. Like yeah sorry you can’t use the taxpayer’s dollar to feed you & your family, but in the same sense a lot of people with EBT have a higher food budget than the taxpayers they’re getting the money from.
I’ve seen people with over $2,000 dollars on their cards. Can you comprehend how privileged that is? Getting rewarded to be in a disadvantaged position.
Just spoke with a carryout owner who said that she has had many people come in and the card wouldn't read. However, they inputted their card number and pin and were able to get their groceries. In case anyone has family or friends who rely on it

Based on Lashika's profile pic, she definitely is not starving.
Apparently, Lashika got too much backlash because here's the message I just received:

That's right. Don't put all the eggs in one basket. Different circumstances for different people. Not everyone is the same. Amen.
Better close the bodegas in NYC.
Well their Governor just asked all the conservatives to move out of their state so ...
Check the Twitter hashtag. All the people chimping out seem to have something in common that I can't quite put my finger on.
