As far as I can tell the Election machines need an internet connection to determine how the vote should be changed in almost real time. What if we kill the internet on Election night? Darnkness. Does their system fail? What if we had Milions of IP adresses prepared for a misdirection or modification of data? Funny thing is is that with Starlink many around the world would still be on line the whole 10 days. Just thinking out loud. Any thoughts?
I’m on starlink, I have never had “downtime” with it. All other providers I have experienced this with, dsl, fiber, sat, broadband… starlink has been absolutely amazing. Hoping the rumors that space force is actually running it are true…
Speaking of starlink; You just reminded me of something; The other night, I was outside with my husband, daughter and son in law sitting out looking at the stars. Not so much light pollution here in Southern Missouri. My daughter noticed a strange light absent of any blinking like planes making a large zig zag pattern across the sky at kind of a medium speed. Any speculations?
Could be drones. The vast majority of Satellites are balloon suspended. The vast majority of internet traffic is through cables.
