Don't feel bad about adopting another pup.
Consider this:
The love and affection you would have given her for the rest of her life is now up in the air.
You can either continue to mourn over the loss or acknowledge that you have love to give to another of God's creatures.
You've proven you have the capacity and resources to do so.
So, don't let your dog's death delude you into thinking you've done irreconcilable wrong and shouldn't be allowed to have another dog to care for.
Instead, dedicate your dog's life to God and honor her by taking up the burden of caring for another dog with every bit of passion as you had caring for her. Just don't run that one over. If you don't learn from your mistakes, then they become intentional.
However, if you aren't capable to take care of another dog, then don't. Half-assed love isn't love at all. Don't feel bad if you decide not to adopt another pupper.
Most importantly... that you are affected this much by this accident means you truly loved her.
