I posted a few days ago about the COVID outbreak in my recovery community. Well, the inevitable happened and I too caught the coof.
Now that I have danced with the devil I can in all honesty say that COVID is...really not that bad (at least in my case).
Symptoms were pretty bad for like 2 days and now today they are pretty quickly disappearing: still have diarrhea and a slight headache feeling that now comes and goes, but I can now smoke full cigarettes again without feeling extra sick. Legs are still tired/sore but not a big deal and I now have my energy back.
The only treatment I used was a multivitamin yesterday and some Sierra Mist.
(Obligatory "This is not medical advice")
Hubby and I also caught it over 2 weeks ago. His symptoms: Muscle aches (never had a fever), diarrhea 1 day, stomach pains x2 days then a few days after that the head cold and cough lasting about 4 days. He only took advil for the aches. Mine : Started with a 102 fever followed by aches obviously from the fever. Had fever off and on for 4 days. Diarrhea 1 day. Around the 3rd day is when my cold symptoms started..sinus drainage, headache, cough etc. Every day was SSDD. After 14 days and going through 6 boxes of Kleenex and not able to shake the sinus drainage, plugged ears, etc. I decided to do an online check-up and got antibiotics as I figured it had turned into a sinus infection at this point. Next day I was 99% better, no cough, ear congestion or drainage. Basically my diabetic type II 67 yo hubby had an easier run with it than me age 59 with no health issues. Affects everyone different that's for sure. We are back to normal with no after effects, thank goodness.
Glad yall are feeling better =) The constant headache was the worst part for me, that feeling like just turning your head is making your brain jiggle around in there.
Thanks and glad you're feeling better also! I had occasional headaches but the worst for me was the constant drainage then chest cold/cough. I did take Iver and zinc for 6 days. Not sure if it did anything or not. Also took ibuprofen, tylenol and robitussin off and on.
