Chrystia Freeland was an accomplice of Bill Browder in the stock market manipulation schemes, planting fake news in domestic Russian and international newspapers when she was serving as Moscow Bureau Chief for the Financial Times, allowing Browder to file fake lawsuits to drive down market share price of companies, buy controlling interest in the companies, then sell them piecemeal.
