I hate to say, but the Marines are standing at 'parade rest'. Their hands would be behind their backs with their feet spread at shoulder width. I am not aware of any military stance with the hands in front unless a weapon is in hand. It appears neither a firearm or sword is in hand. I think we are seeing the glare of a uniform buckle.

I looked back at it more now that you mention it. Your post has a point, but i think the glow is too large proportionately to be a buckle.
