‘Blood is thicker than water’ is short for the blood of the Covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. It means the opposite of how people use it today.

Wow. I had no idea. Thank you for sharing this. To be honest, I always secretly believed this to be true, as my bonds with strangers have many times felt more stronger than the bond I feel for my family, sadly, especially during these times. Stay true, frens.
