Most citizens are told by the Scholz regime that the reason is Putin and Russia’s war in Ukraine. The truth is quite otherwise. P.S. As you might know, Taffy is a common name for a Welshman in the UK (also an impolite stereotype), which is where my incorrect guess came from. My apologies, if needed.
It's also a type of candy, as in saltwater taffy. My initials are TAF and someone I worked with gave me the nickname of Taffy. It stuck.
