Maybe, maybe not. Wikipedia tells me (not that I trust it on many subjects) that a urinary tract infection is also known as acute cystitis or bladder infection. Looking through the Pfizer "Cumulative Analysis of Post-Authorization Adverse Event Reports" I see Cystitis Interstitial listed as an adverse event of special interest (among some 2,000 others).

Cystitis Interstitial is related to the bladder, but I don't know if it's related in the same way as UTI or has similar symptoms. Worth checking what your mother is feeling.
