Chaga is best bought from a Siberian firm, or failing that a good Canadian firm. Avoid the chaga produced elsewhere such as Scotland, not worth the money.

Get a bunch of needles the size of a big orange and simmer them in just boiling water for an hour not taking the lid off the pot, a glass lid is best to see if the water runs dry. Leave to cool leaving the lid on the pot, when room temp drink it down over the course of a day, don't drink it down at once.
