I'm curious how this is going to go because the queen was a Christian, but Charles is not and part of his oath is suppose to be "defender of the church".

He's head of state so he is probably considered Anglican while in England. Surely he was baptized.

Interestingly, if the Queen truly died in Scotland she died as a Presbyterian.
