What the Hell is going on at Facebook
Anyone else?
About a week ago, I started seeing all my friends posts. They started seeing and commenting on my posts again.
I was pretty sure I was shadow banned, and I figured they had released the shadow ban. This was around the time Zuckerbooger admitted the FBI had told them who to censor.
I didn't think much more about it, but this morning I get an apology for a post they had blocked where I had linked to 8kun. They not only gave me a 'we're sorry', but they unblocked the link to 8kun.
Something has come undone for them, and they are back pedaling as fast as they can. Sure seems like someone knows they lost.
Be nice if they reinstated my original account. 20 years of pictures gone before I could back them up elsewhere.
Why were your pictures only on FB? Weren't they in your camera? Didn't you copy them to your computer?
I have a stupid 20-something relative who would download all her photos to FB, delete them from her phone, and then lose the password to her FB. As a good relative, I went to all her old accounts and downloaded copies of all her photos. The big problem is that FB downsamples all uploads so they don't take up as much room. That means the quality is reduced.
I keep all my photos in a dozen different places.
BTW, if the account still exists, you can still look at the photos from another account and download the photos. Perhaps Archive.org has a copy in their Wayback Machine.
I haven't touched a computer in 20 years. Don't even own 1. Everything is on my phone these days. Couldn't tell ya where my phone from 20 years ago is.
I don't use a cellphone/tracking device. I use a desktop computer that I built myself over 10 years ago. It has no wireless. It has to be plugged directly into the router to get internet. There are a ton of things I do on my computer than cannot be done on a phone. The phone doesn't have the power or the storage. I have over 100TB of storage, which includes multiple backups of my most important files. I still have every single file for over 35 years and not lost a one. I have no use for a cellphone. I don't want to be on a 24/7 leash. I can walk away from my desk, and I'm free.
