Why couldn't at least ONE of the people involved have spilled the beans by now, through a "deadman switch", or through just a guilty conscience? Anyone have thoughts on how all involved could continue to be silent?

There must be a few people involved who don't have family, at least family they care enough about, and if it is a dead man switch, then the threats against family members would seem to be moot.
