I tried telling my father about the twin towers and he started going off as if he knew how structures collapse. He had a tone of talking down to me saying "The fuel weakens the steal, do you know that?" I was like uhh yeah I understand how heat makes steel weaker.
He wouldn't listen to a damn word I said. He just kept repeating that the weight of the floors above would cause each level to fall down. I kept saying yeah so why didn't they fall to the side at all? Why did it look like a controlled demolition?
I want a short maybe 10 minute video by an expert explaining how this could not occur unless it was a controlled demolition.
PS A myth that you can tell your Father is that by the time the aircraft hit they would be carrying roughly 40% - 50% full fuel. No airlines fills the tanks full for every flight, it would be calculated on the time of the flight, predicted fuel burn rates, a minimum needed for diversion and a minimum safe amount on landing. Minus the amount they had burned up during transit to the buildings.
Given that most of the fuel was burnt in the resultant outside fireball, there was little to none left to burn the steel girders and supports. Firefighters actually made it to the floor that was hit with little trouble in the way of fire, they were killed when it was demolished.
If your Father thinks that aviation fuel, basically kerosene can melt steel, it's probably best he never lights a wood burning stove!
It was Thermite (military grade nano thermate) that took down those buildings, and a missile that hit the Pentagon.
