Most courses have banned them because they tear up the greens. They used to think the spikes aerated the greens but it’s kind of BS/nothing to prove they help. There still are pros who wear them but they’re careful about not damaging the greens. Tiger still wears them, at least till recently and I think DeChambeau and Phil M. probably still does but I’d say the majority of coarse supers don’t want their greens mutilated by regular, day to day play and have local rules banning them.
