You never see a motorcycle parked outside of a therapist's office.

As someone who lives near a VA center, I cannot emphasize enough that traumatized veterans are not narcissists, but are, in fact, suffering from the physical and psychological damage done by the very narcissists we are trying to defeat through this movement.
There is a massive difference between #firstworldproblems and deep rooted issues that can be helped through treatment. Painting everyone who has a mental illness with the same broad stroke shows your ignorance, not theirs.
I was talking about first world problem people
Trust me. Im married to a combat veteran and I know what its like. Thats not what I ment. Just seemed like they were defending "Muh I have PTSD because someone made fun of my purple hair and need xanex for life." crowd.
That was all. Like this guy said, 90% of his clients are this and thats what I was commenting on. 90% of peopel I know who claim to have mental health problems are this.
I should have said rarely are first world people vicitims. Of course there are still vicitims of rape, abuse, combat, etc. With genuine mental health needs.
Please give my best to your spouse; I wish I could give more to you all than just my best wishes.
You definitely are correct there. The « micro aggressions » mania made a lot of people suddenly believe their minor problems deserved massive accommodations.
There’s also the problem that many therapists are bleeding heart liberals who have also bought into the hype. The only trauma therapist in my area still thinks COVID is a problem/masks do something/boosters aren’t an issue/etc.
That’s a systemic thing that won’t get better until the Rockefeller mindset and TPTB are no longer in charge of healthcare and mental health care, but I digress.
Sorry for misunderstanding; PTSD and the mental strife caused by combat is an important issue for me, and I get carried away sometimes trying to defend those who deal with it
Its okay. I feel similarly and thats why I get so darn mad at the first world problem whiners. I did mispeak, and I totally should have said "most, not all."
