Things we know:

Dearie was a judge that approved FBI/DOJ request to surveil Carter Page.
Trump's team suggested Dearie as a Special master to review the files confiscated by the DOJ/FBI during the Mar-a-lago raid so Team Trump finds him acceptable for the job.

Angle to consider:

How pissed at the FBI and DOJ would you be if you were an honest and impartial judge that approved a FISA warrant for the DOJ/FBI based on nothing but lies and then found out about the lies later? Now you are put into a position to review their unconstitutional raid after the fact.
