While from my perspective, the Earth is probably flat, I along with others who share my perspective have zero intention to ‘make us look bad’. I suggest to you that your idea that flat earthers want to make you look bad is only a defense mechanism to protect you from contemplation of an extremely scary fact: that people of high intelligence and sound mind think that the earth could be flat for very, very good reasons, and underneath your conscious awareness that scares the hell out of you.
