I thought it interesting that the other guardsmen did absolutely nothing to render aid. They have disciplined and trained the humanity out of them I guess.
Marching and standing at attention all day every day. Other guards probably don't 'train' for this. They stand at attention and look sharp that is the job.
Nope they never would, you lay where you fall, the trick is not to fall in the first place. Seen it a few times on parade, guys not eating breakfast was a chargeable offence before ceremonial duties (although it's probably changed now) and you just let them fall and never break ranks.
I remember being marched away to the guardroom once whilst on parade, my crime was that I sneezed, it wasn't the sneezing so much that got me jailed, it was the automatic reaction of moving my had to my face!! Happy day's.
