The CEO of FedEx has issued a grim warning, saying that he believes a worldwide recession is looming after the company saw a sharp decline in shipping volume in recent months.

The FedEx CEO has been talking about this for a few weeks. He's worried gas prices are going to do them in as most of the deliveries are made by local contractors, who don't have the margins to absorb outrageous gas prices...though actually it seems no one has the wherewithal to absorb outrageous gas prices.
