My father-in-law in Mokpo city only called me a "White Devil" for a mere half a decade or so.

lol, her Father hated my guts until I started making 100k. Now I'm "Best Son-in-Law", and invited to play Golf with him. He's not so bad, think he just wanted his daughter secure. I LOVE Korean culture. Good people!

I think our in-laws are very similar, financial stability was of the utmost importance. My wife and I have been married since the 1990s. We met in college here in the states. Her dad literally referred to me as the "White Devil" (who stole his daughter). Now we get along really well and until Covid we saw them at least yearly both stateside and in Mokpo. It will be nice to get back to see that side of the family. BTW, handsome avatar!
