"We love freedom!" as they mount the death the very symbol of tyranny, and cheer it's replacement...

Here in Canada, the schooling praised the queen like we're still an official colony of Britain... All our money has her face on it, and the monarch has final say on laws to be declared (our process asks the monarch for permission to do something). Did we REALLY declare independence from the colonizer? -- It really doesn't feel like it.
