Was crowned in 1952. That's what it says on the flag.

Technically, she became queen in 1952 when her father died.

Was not actually crowned until 1953 when a huge coronation ceremony was held.

Thank you, open source is the best thing. When we make a mistake there is usually at least one of our brothers or sisters to come to the rescue. Gave me another chance to admire the lovely young lady in the photo too.
