— a mess posing the risk of a federal investigation that could cost the company billions of dollars in fines. A report concluded the site also is unable to consistently detect banned content such as child porn, revenge porn and non-consensual “upskirt” photos once it’s uploaded to the site. Funny how the platform has no problem detecting and banning accounts though exposing child predators and trafficking!

My shower thought ? The content moderation teams that are supposed to be taking this down when reported have been taken over by complete sickos who let it through on purpose and use it as an opportunity to gather more material, just like the neon-haired lefties go hunting down even mildly conservative posts while letting explicit violations of TOS and the law from their side move foward.
"Priorities" and "agendas"
How are they supposed to automatically ban content featuring a girl that looks of age but isn't, judge the desires of someone having an upskirt taken, and protect the privacy of whores who sleep around with random men?
This? From the same guy that started a thread wishing to ban sex before marriage and to charge minors that dare to fuck each other as rapists...
This is a legitimate question though, how are they supposed to automatically filter things like that? it's different when it's a guy going for a girl in person when you can just ask to see her ID, but how do you do it with a picture of a girl who isn't even connected to the guy who uploaded the image?
Why is it you jump to "automatically" - I could give two shits how they enforce the law, but if they cannot provide a safe place for minors, they have no business allowing minors on their platform.
And if they cannot prevent crime from happenning on their platform then it should not exist.
