The HH salute is unifying, but I think that then calls into question under what are they unified? I think it matters and not the unification itself.
Just to give a more concise opinion on this: I guess it is similar to a flag in a way, the flag is meant to unify people under a single banner to represent certain sovereign principles. I think the idea of having a banner or gesture or action that we can participate in to represent our unity, the commitment to it and provide a sense of fellowship can be useful. But we need to be careful to keep in mind that our unity of those soveriegn principles should be ones that are good and not evil. Like a NAZI flag vs the American one in a way.
