So let me get this straight now...
have you EVER seen someone with a hand drawn Q shirt? a hand-drawn car sticker? Hand drawn Q hat? A sign I will give you.
are you implying that any gesture with a hand in the air closely resembles the nazi salute? They OWN any hand in the air gestures now? Similarly, nazis also had patches on their arms, does that make all other people with patches on their arms nazis?
personally I don’t think the optics are bad. And you haven’t even given this a few days to sit before jumping into action on conclusions and “optics” and telling people what to conclude. You haven’t even given time for rebound or to see the effects or anything.
My best guess is that the next rally will have 60,000 people with their finger in the air.
You know who the modern day nazis are? The fuckin’ people abroad openly wearing nazi swastika patches and symbols and verbally affirming their nazi beliefs and actually acting out those beliefs violently. Media wasn’t scared to report on all of that until late 2019
I should not have accused you of telling people what to think.
But me personally, I riddle the things I write intentionally with “my opinion is” or “I think that” so that I’m never telling people “THIS is THAT” etc when it’s just my opinion on something. Eg. “THIS is bad optics”. Seeing as we have a different opinion on that, you’d be telling people what to think.
ive been around and personally I have not seen any hand drawn shirts. I said it because you suggested it. Also see my other reply for more on that.
no I’m not saying we should wear arm bands I’m saying PEOPLE DO wear arm bands all around the world, and people often say “uhh didn’t the nazis do that?” ... no ... there’s just only so many places and ways you can display a symbol...LOL. Also yes when you simplify things down to “what do people with their hands in the air” look like, then yes. But context matters, as we know. Same thing for so many things. Trump saying straight forwardly that the Mexicans coming over the border are rapists and criminals? Bad optics but there’s only so many ways to say something that’s true! Words are just symbols for meaning.
considering your time and experience on Q and Trump boards, I think you should understand the rebound effect. You haven’t yet seen the effects of this finger in the air. For all YOU know, this is what causes the immersion with us of all the stubborn supporters who do nothing but put their fingers in their ears at the littlest mention of Q. Just watch and see. I told ya, my guess is that we have 60k people with their finger in the air at the next rally, 90% of whom previously had no idea about Q.
Also, regarding the “draw something” thing...it’s a lot to expect of people to simply have something with them saying Q on it all the time, at the ready, and that could also be dangerous too.
You ALWAYS carry your hand and finger with you. It’s ALWAYS at the ready. There’s no lower barrier. Not sure what’s hard to understand about that. A different gesture could have been chosen, sure. But too bad. It appears the choice has been made, and my opinion is it’s for the publicity.
It’s the people behind the symbols, not the symbols. It’s up to us to define what that symbol means, by our actions and our words.
I say it because it’s been broadcasted everywhere by now and a symbol has to have reach and be in peoples’ heads. Personally I wouldn’t be able to “change the symbol” so that’s why I say “it appears the decision has been made”. Whether that decision was by the MSM or something else idk. To me it seems like it is what it is though now and we might as well make it work for the better if it wasn’t intentional.
