This isn't a new concept.

"Nitric oxide (NO) is a gas that transmits signals in the organism. Nitric Oxide is also the active ingredient in Viagra. All it does is provide a naturally occurring (gaseous) nutrient that relaxes blood vessel's to increase their surface area, and that allows the vessels to absorb more oxygen molecules in the blood.
