Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. To not question something because many people believe it to be true is stupid. If you seek the truth and find it, you can have a sure foundation, not just other's talking points. I personally think it's a globe earth, but I could be convinced that it is actually flat, with supporting science. I have heard arguments from both sides, considered the facts and resources, and I have come up with my own conclusion. If I go to the pearly gates and God asks why I believed the earth was a globe when he says it was flat, I'd respond with, you right God, my bad. I wouldn't argue my point with him. (unlikely that it will be a point of discussion anyways, but I digress)
You believe one “conspiracy theory” therefore you believe them all theory.
Instead, each theory should be weighted out on its own. Each theory deserves to be explored, so long as their a rationale behind it.
You seek to extinguish discussion, that’s a losing point. You do nothing but strengthen our resolve -> to seek the truth.
If a flat earther believes the earth is flat based on science and logics, then he is seeking truth. Whether or not he is misguided is a separate conversation. He could be persuaded provided more compelling evidence is shown for a globe earth. If a flat earther doesn’t care about facts and logics, then he is that of a cult minded koolaid drinking type. He is useless, no amount of information will persuade and dissuade him. The same is true in the opposite direction.
Not everyone cares all that much about the shape of the earth, they want a norm, and that’s enough for them. But they deeply care about other issues.
You are desiring to stir up strife. For that I will be reporting your comment to the mods. You have no interest in edifying this community, but only feeling vindicated by your talking points. What does it matter to you if people want to question the validity of 9-11? Are you afraid it will destroy your world view?
I am not alone in this proposal, have a nice day and continue watching television for all the real information.
