Remember when the "family" became concerned for young Prince Charles?

Do you remember why? Why would that concern them? Did it have anything to do with Prince Charles' uncle abdicating the thrown in favor of Queen Elizabeth? What was Queen Elizabeth's uncle & Prince Charles' great-uncle (Edward VIII) doing prior to meeting his fiancé?

Was his divorced fiancé's past really what forced his abdication?
