Yes..my wife was pregnant in Germany while I was in Desert Storm. Many other exercises, jump operations, 2AM phone calls, travel - those who have never served can say "Thank You for your service" to me all day long, but they have no concept that the entire family serves. Blessings to you and yours.
What a coincidence, I was also pregnant when my husband was in Desert Storm also, we had a boy 😊 Husband came home a month after he was born. My experience giving birth in a military hospital (at Air Force base) was absolutely horrible, along with the 3 days I had to endure before I was able to go home. My mom (was there for all 3 of my kid's births) & stepdad were there, but if not for them I would have had absolutely No One in or even close to my birthing room. I was at the end of a dark hallway and the only time a nurse or midwife came in was to do a quick check on me and leave. I got to have one phone call from my husband hours after giving birth.
Thank you! It's not easy being an Army wife, especially when they go to war or deployed out of country.
