Zero bubble means a sub is at a level pitch, and submerged to a depth of 50 ft.
When a storm is coming, a sub will submerge to avoid the choppy waves near the surface. The water is calmer deeper down.
When a sub is on the surface, it reacts like a cork, bobbing around -- not a place you want to be in a storm, unless you enjoy puking your guts out.
