While I cannot vouch for Jordan Maxwell's sources (I only started listening to him, and he seems to be legit), I do know from my own culture that the position of sun, specifically whether it is rising or falling plays a huge role in Hindu mythology. Infact they say that heaven's gate is only open when the sun is rising, and closed when it is falling. There was a famous story of a warrior who was shot by an arrow, but held on t life for 6 months to die after the sun starts rising!
