This isn't a turning point. It's the standard Communist tactic when shit didn't go their way.

"It wasn't like that, boss, see we were ignorant of what big pharma done." Coupled with their biggest aw-shucks face they can muster.

This isn't a win, this is the power structure trying to move on to the next "common sense" strategy for screwing over the vox populi.
