I hear ya.... First things first is all it amounts to right now. But first steps usually lead somewhere, and the final destination is what is exciting.
Just one big problem, there just happens to be a Muslem temple. third holiest site sitting on the temple mount Al Aqsa Mosque compound, in Jerusalem. Unless you consider the two temple sites as when Herod was going to allow a new temple to be built the "Jews didn't trust him as he was Hasmonaean to rebuild the temple, had he torn the old one down first??? they thought he would not rebuild... so there has to be two different foundations... at least!
Also its not just a temple of the Jews, its to restart temple sacrifices, the four sacfrices were, he burnt-offering (olah), the sin-offering (chatat), the guilt-offering (asham), and the peace-offering
You could think of it as the WEF building a temple to their magnificence, and using the dimensions and instructions of the sacred texts to give their endeavour legitimacy. There is a big gap between what God might have wanted and what they want to build, but no we are supposed to believe they are following God's will. Let their build be a lemon and all the red cows grow flashes of the Orange Man.
Ah, I got ya. I think of it as a sign of Jonah.... What man means for following his own will, God will use for accomplishing His will, and saving even more souls along the way. Israel (or any other nation) will never be right with God unless it is in obedience to God's terms; even rigorous adherence to the old terms falls short.
But! This was all expected and foretold thousands of years ago. Another brick in the wall, if you will. Those with ears to hear will hear the trumpets sounding (happy Yom Teruah) and the first words of Jesus: Repent, and believe the gospel. The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Red Heffer burgers!
Doesn't bother me. Gruesome but a long tradition.
What I worry about is how many children are sacrificed?
Where?

What's creepy is the ubermensch 3rd temple being built, hopefully they have the dimensions wrong and face endless problems.
Why?
