He left us, as the ultimate sacrifice, and will return as the ultimate King!

Amen and AMEN
He didn't leave us, He's seated at the right hand of the Father while He makes all of His enemies His footstool. Jesus IS reigning NOW. He departed from among us so the Holy Spirit (also God as part of the Trinity) can dwell IN us.
Isaiah 11:6
It is my belief that He didn’t become human in the sense that we are until the moment the sky turned black and he uttered the words “Father, why have you forsaken me. I’m that moment he was fully human (not God in a physical body, the same who could not be tempted by satan). Jesus with God inside (the Holy Spirit would have never questioned God or even doubted God was with him.
He then spent 3 days in hell (as a regular human) so we wouldn’t have to spend one second.
I can’t speak of what was edited or not. But, above is how I see the crucifixion, death and resurrection.
Jesus was always fully God and fully man. He existed with God the Father since before time and entered His own creation. He took on flesh to live out the law as the perfect Adam and fulfill it. "Father, why have you forsaken me." was when He became the sacrifice and took on all the sins of the elect then and in the future and He experienced the separation from God the Father for the first time that we as sinners have as our nonmail state. Every time you sin you are adding to contributing to what Jesus suffered on the cross. But once you die or Jesus returns in final judgment you will be in perfect harmony with the Father as Jesus was and is once again without sin separating you from His Holiness.
This is clear in any Christian confession and Catechism as well as scripture.
Adam took something OFF a tree and sin entered the world and it decayed. Jesus, the perfect Adam, was out ON a tree (the dross) and the Gospel entered the world and it is slowly growing and spreading like levin in the dough until the world is restored to the garden.
He is not a regular human...but a perfect Human. Jesus does not have The Holy Spirit inside. And his question would be normal between a Father and His Son. Define edited please. Scripture is accurate as it was from day one...The original texts are still available.
Where in the Bible does it say he spent 3 days in hell after his death.
Although a challenging belief: I believe Jesus sacrificed nothing. He can't die! He can come into this world or leave it with ease and has done so and will do so. A sacrifice is gving up something you can never have again or replace.
The fact is, Jesus has eternal life here, there, anywhere he pleases and any time he pleases and thus ending his life was no sacrifice at all. He didn't die and he can, did and will return proving he cannot die.
Now before you start hurling insults at me: I believe in God and Jesus. I just know from 40 years of research that many of the stories we are told were concieved by, edited by, and intentionally told by men with an agenda and not everything we are "sold" in religions are actually true. This particular one is a big one to me.
Jesus, like God, is all-powerful. He "needs" nothing since "need" implies the lack of. He lacks nothing. Yes he died a 3D physical death. No he didn't resist dieing. But he sacrificed nothing. He just made a choice. He could have returned the next day and stayed for 1000 years. He chose not to.
Just consider this for a minute. No need to argue. No need to come burn a cross in my yard. I am just using logic here.
““The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again. No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.”” John 10:17-18 NLT
Just for the actual record (Check with any of your favorite scholors). We don't know who any of the authors for the book of John were...and there were many different authors contributing. All we know for sure is that is was not John. The same is true for Mathew, Mark and Luke.
here is a secret....humans do not die
" I believe in God and Jesus." but I don't believe God, the creator of all things, could transmit His Word throughout history.
That's what you are really saying
"He just made a choice. He could have returned the next day and stayed for 1000 years"
No He couldn't since He foretold when, where, and how He would die in quite some detail and that would make him contradict Himself which is one of the few things God CANNOT do by His very nature.
Your logic is based off a misunderstanding / misrepresentation of the God of scripture. If the God you believe in can lie or contradict Himself or carry along His Word throughout history as He promised He would, then he is not the same God of scripture I worship, he's an idol you have created. An idol that may not give you the salvation you think you have.
I would encourage you to look more into textual transmission, the field of studying how we got the Bible and how we can prove well beyond any other historical document from even 1000 years prior, that the Word has been transmitted correctly. Dr James White is one of the leading authorities on this subject in the world and has done lectures, debates, and written a number of books and papers on the subject.
I don't disagree with anything you stated. However, none of what you said even suggests Jesus can not come and go into this world as he pleases. Indeed, I think you agree with me here... he can. Given this understanding, it means to leave the planet under the human definition of death is a simple act for Jesus. Returning into the exact same life would be equally as effortless. Your statements, given as true, do not deminish his power to live and die as many times as he choses. So my point stands. He didn't sacrifice his life because he still has it and can have it in any form he chooses at any time he chooses... thus he retains it and didn't sacrifice nor relinguish it.
My argument does not deminish Jesus by any means. It simply states that "what" he sacrificed isn't clear at all. Whatever he did sacrifice wasn't his life since he still has it and to prove it... will return with it. He gave up nothing. I think these scriptures were likely edited my men over time...that's all.
Symbology is a powerful thing.
