Russia has very little reason to do this to their own supply line to Germany though. They seem very much like the least likely culprit and the US seems like the MOST likely culprit. Governments in Europe have to see that - what they do about it is the question that needs answering. Most likely response, they drop sanctions on Russia and distance themselves from the US.
