My mom and I were having a garage sale. While I was sitting in a chair in the garage, a short African man, about 60 years old came up to the garage. He saw my mom’s SUV parked. My mom’s SUV has a HUGE picture of DJT on the window and a big TRUMP sticker on the back window. Instead of showing any interest in what we were selling, he started trying to start an argument.
“Ha ha! Biden beat Trump!” was the first thing this guy said.
“Well, because the democrats cheated!” I replied.
“HA HA HA!” He mocked back.
“So how do you think Biden is doing now? You like the gas prices?” I asked.
“That is all the fault of Trump! Trump is a racist.” he yelled back.
“What proof do you have that Trump is a racist?” I said. “Because. America is founded on racism. Do you know who owned America before white people did?”
I didn’t answer, waited for what he would say.
“This land belonged to Native Americans. And the white people stole it from them!”
I said “That shows their open border policy was not a good idea.”
He then carried on. “This country is based on slavery! All of the people owned slaves!”
I said “that’s not true.”
“ Ha Ha! I am from Liberia and I know more about your own country’s history than you do.”
“Only about 2% Americans owned slaves, and those were democrats!”
“That is false! ALL Americans owned black slaves! Did you know that blacks were considered 3/5ths of a human being?”
I remembered my dad told me to be ready for this argument because it’s a lie every liberal will bring up. But I couldn’t remember the name of the legislation. My dad was in the garage pretending to work on something, but was obviously paying close attention to our debate.
“Do you know why they were counted as 3/5ths…Dad…what was that called?”
“The three fifths compromise” my dad mumbled quietly.
That’s all I needed to remember. That was legislation made by anti slave people so the slave states did not have more representation. A white tourist from England would have been counted as zero percent of representation, but not because anyone was questioning their humanity. Besides. It was all black Africans that sold the slaves to slave traders.!” (I wish I said I know more about Africa’s history than you know). “No that is not true!” he yelled back.
I tried to argue back, but then he covered his ears and started yelling “LALALALALALALA!” like a little kid that doesn’t want to hear you.
Then my dad who was observing everything from the other side of the room called out to me “Amy (not my real name), Stop it. A tiger doesn’t argue with a donkey.” (this is a great saying we got from GAW)
This guy never even looked at buying anything. He just turned around and left then.
Tell him about all the white slaves in North africa.
