He's not playing a role. He's fairly open book if ppl would take the time to learn. Honestly, for how smart this board claims to be, if someone is not right wing enough, you guys swallow all of the msm talking points about them so easily. He doesn't advertise Tesla so media hates him, he competes with the previously comfortable space industrial complex, so cronies hate him, he takes a reasonable approach to energy and climate worries, so the right hates him. He took a loan early on so the right hates him, he repaid it back early so as to not be controlled by government, so the left hates him. For the love of Pete, he's a hard working autist, self made magnate, who used to get the shit beat out of him as a kid, trying his best to improve our lot in life. He's not playing a role as a lefty enviro-dictator or a right wing fascist. He just wants the future to be better for everyone, not just for the few.
IMHO, u/Oh_Well_ian said the following, which is 'something' I always consider. The question begs-- "How did this guy get to be in the position he is in?"
"Elon Musk is like Kaiser Soze. He's a fog, a vapor, a shadow. How can one man possibly be the leading Force in industries that are changing the world. Electric autos. Space travel. Social media. It's all too good to be true, for sure."
I thought Miles Mathis wrote an interesting expose on Elon Musk. It provides at least an insight on him up to 2015.
In other words, nothing, and I mean nothing happens by accident in America.
