For those with asthma, I suggest trying this simple and delicious home remedy. Buy ginger root (available at most grocery stories). Cut off a hunk that's about an inch to an inch and a half long. Peel it and cut it into pieces. Put the pieces into a quart of water and bring to a boil. Boil 1 minute, then turn down to a simmer for another 9 minutes. Remove ginger pieces.
From this water make tea. You can use oolong or green tea. Use the ginger water just like you would plain water to make the tea. Then, add milk/cream and honey. It's a warm drink, great for cold weather. Store the left over ginger water in the fridge to use for your next cup.
Drink this every day and see if you notice a difference in your breathing in a couple of weeks to a month. If you use an inhaler, see if you are able to cut back on the frequency of use. Ginger is an amazing anti-inflammatory. I hope this helps some folks.
Yes, turmeric is known for the same thing! I agree. I find ginger a bit more palatable, but turmeric should work as well. And I have some goldenmilk in my cabinet, lol. Thanks for the reminder! Haha.
