Watched an old windmill blade being moved on the highway yesterday. I’m gonna do some math later today to see how much fuel is used for one semi truck and two flagged pickup trucks use to move it from unknown point a all the way to wyoming where they bury the used ones.
I think it’s going to be a fucking lot. Compared to how much power they make they possibly use just as much just disposing of them.
I read that over the lifespan of a windmill, it can't produce the same amount of energy that was used to manufacture and maintain it.
I'm not nerd enough to have a clue about that math, but just something I read the other day and I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.
