Most anons can probably relate to the idea of 'instant enlightenment' and point to a certain time, place or event that they had a life-changing "a-Ha" moment that seem to re-direct thoughts from there.
That said, they know that this is just a starting point, like being shocked while sleeping. But now awake, there is more work to do than ever, every day is a new kind and set of daily challenges, and in fact, the work will never be 'finished' and it would be unwise to expect 'heaven on earth' or a group state of 'nirvana' to come of it. Vast improvements, yes.....but perfection, hardly.
Like this, the idea of enlightenment has always been debated as to whether it can come suddenly or if it is a result of hard work over time.
The way the claims are presented and the nature of them as being 'super' natural
or other-worldly and that superpowers are now constantly attached to the owner of the turd eye............this is more appropriately termed 'magical narcissism'.
Like modern day 'magcik', old writings are twisted to meet modern needs/understanding which cheapens the whole subject and produces lightweight champions like today's practitioner of TM they like to call 'having Zen'. One doesn't 'have' zen even if one could agree on what that is.
The conversion of light to information does involve the pineal, but one doesn't 'have' a third eye, one develops the ability to SEE into the Essence of Things rather than it's outward form. That is, unfortunately, a superpower these days.
