The DS would cede ground by having MsM say that trump actually won and that his term was valid during those biden years; effectively splitting his 2nd term in half

That's not how it works. His term wasn't legally split in half; it was illegally stolen outright. Merely saying on the news that Trump has been president all this time will have less than zero effect in the end.

Oh sure I agree. But we’ve never been in that scenario as a country. No process is laid out for a scenario like this unless you know one. That gives enough wiggle room for DS to try it
