The damage is what you would expect from a storm with 160mph winds slamming into a population zone. Its brutal for the folks living there. I live where the storm was supposed to hit before it changed its mind. I promise you the people that did get hit do not want to hear about nearly as extensive. You are right about the hype though. They hyped the shit out of this one as "storm of the century" because it may be the only kill this season. I watched about 5 minutes of msm hurricane news throughout the 5 day period before it hit. I could stomach no more. They get so excited and trip all over themselves for the ratings. Makes me sick. Follow the models and not the talking heads. I just want to add, tjhe UK forecast team tracked this storm last saturday and nailed its path. That model did not move and every other one lined up to it eventually. Great job.
my understanding is that your area was more highly vaccinated than where it did hit, so make sure you get your boosters...
kek.
there is no real measuring the amount of damage. when your home and/or business is wrecked or you lose family or friends to the storm, how can you say there is less or more? glad to see there are still people able to respond to help out.
The European models also nail our winter storms. The NA models typically suck.
Im a snow guy. Snow removal and winter sports like skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. And I live in Michigan.
